Labor & Delivery Visitation

Memorial’s Birthplace is committed to the health and safety of our moms and babies. As you prepare for your delivery at our facility please note that our current visitation guidelines allow for 2 support people to be with moms during the labor and delivery process. Following their transition time there will be one visitor allowed per day when mom and baby are ready for visitors.

Current hospital visiting policy

Memorial recognizes that visitation of family and friends during a patient’s hospitalization is key to a patient’s recovery. We encourage you to visit your family member or friend during the above times. As with everything in our current environment, these guidelines are subject to change and may be different if you arrive to the hospital as we make every effort to minimize the spread of infection and protect our patients, staff and community.

In order to maintain the safest environment possible for our patients, masks are required in all our facilities. We are limiting visitors to allow for social distancing and encourage visitation in small groups or shifts. When you arrive to your destination that area may limit the number based on room size or available waiting space. This is for the safety of the patients, visitors, and staff. COVID-19 patients will be allow visitors on an individualized basis, this will be coordinated with the patient, family and nursing unit.

Children are welcome to visit family members following the same guidance but under the age of 16 must be escorted by an adult at all times.

As with everything we do, individualized consideration will be given to all our patients and guests and extenuating circumstances will be handled on an individual basis.
