COVID-19 Vaccinations Now Required for Staff

On November 4, 2021, The Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) mandated that all staff working in health care organizations, and receiving CMS funding, be Covid-19 vaccinated by January 4th, 2022. Our health system, like most hospitals in the country, receives CMS funding. As such we are required to comply with this ruling. Currently, more than half of Memorial Health System’s workforce is fully vaccinated, and we are working diligently with those that have not yet received a COVID-19 vaccination to comply and/or review exemptions submitted based on medical or religious reasons. Employees will receive internal communication and resources to assist in fulfilling the mandated request from CMS.
