GULFPORT, Miss.— Third grade students at Reeves Elementary in Long Beach recently held a bake sale that raised $250 to purchase toys and movies for the Memorial Hospital Pediatric Unit.
“I just want to thank all of the faculty and students at Reeves and their parents for participating in this bake sale,” said Stefanie Bridges, Reeves Elementary School teacher. “The students were overcome with joy knowing that all of the things they donated would lift the spirits of the sick children.”
Jamie Traylor, Child Life Specialist, Memorial Pediatrics, accepted the donations and was thrilled by the thoughtfulness of the children at Reeves.
