When the unexpected happens, you need the very best care, which is what you'll get at the Memorial Emergency Room. Our Emergency Department provides a Level Two trauma center, the highest level of trauma care you can get on the Gulf Coast. We have 49 beds staffed by highly-qualified emergency medical physicians, registered nurses and assisting personnel, ready and able to take care of you in a safe environment. If you are currently experiencing an emergent medical condition and need immediate assistance, please call 911 immediately.

Memorial Becomes Mississippi's First Certified Primary Stroke Center


The Joint Commission certified Memorial Hospital as a Primary Stroke Center making it the first of its kind in the state of Mississippi. Stroke patients in our community can now receive the highest level of stroke treatment available in the nation. Certification means that the services Memorial provides have the critical elements necessary to achieve long-term success in improving patient evaluation and managing stroke care.
