More than 300 Women Attend Memorial Life Cycles Event

GULFPORT, Miss.—More than 300 women filled the Memorial Medical Office Building Atrium on October 28 for Life Cycles 2008, a free health seminar for women. Attendees listened to Memorial physicians talk about current health topics such as female changes after 40, osteoporosis, breast cancer and Oncotype DX and incontinence and bladder dysfunction.

Physicians on the panel included Dr. Shahira Hanna, Obstetrics/Gynecology; Dr. Inez Kelleher, Orthopedics; Dr. Stephanie Fussell, Medical Oncology; and Dr. Paige White, Urology. Following the presentations, guests had an opportunity to visit one-on-one with specialists at the “Ask the Doctors” roundtable sessions. Roundtable physicians included Dr. Abha Mishra, Neurology; Dr. Helen Fosmire, Radiation Oncology; Dr. Eun Chung, Rheumatology; Dr. Gail Farrar, Internal Medicine; Dr. Shahira Hanna, Obstetrics/Gynecology; Dr. Inez Kelleher, Orthopedic Surgery; Dr. Stephanie Fussell, Medical Oncology; and Dr. Paige White, Urology.

The event also offered free flu shots, bone density screenings, breast health information, mental health information and healthy lifestyle information. Each guest also received a discount certificate for a digital mammogram and a bone densitometry scan (DXA), including the Radiologist’s reading.
