A diagnosis of cancer today often comes with a strong probabililty of recovery. In fact, nearly half of the cancers treated today are cured through surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy or a combination of treatments. Although there are more than 100 different types of cancer, they share one thing in common—the physical and emotional effects on the patients, their families and friends.
